Good News.... and Bad....

Hi, I'm back, fresh from my finals. Passed with flying colours (well I wouldn't have it any other way really).

I couldn't wait to call Mom and Dad and let them know how well I was doing.

They had some news for me too.

Some good.
Some bad.

Bad news first.....

There'd been a terrible flood in the surrounding neighbourhood, causing a lot of damage all over the place. Sadly, that meant that Dad and the rest of the family have had to vacate the premises, due to the house being extremely unstable.

This leads us swiftly onto the good news.

The insurance payout was quite good, meaning that Dad could land a deposit on the house of his dreams. Not only that, on a sheer whim... he decided to pick out a few numbers on the lottery.... and won a substantial amount of money.

How lucky was that?

Would you like to see the new home?
Dad emailed a few pics to me... and I must admit... I'm very impressed indeed.

It's definitely a BIG change from the humble home we all grew up in.

It's very ostentatious to say the least. Mom says she's going to install a garden as soon as the twins - both sets- have grown up some. Sort of an early retirement present to herself. Hence the empty gardens.

*sigh* going to miss that draughty old cramped place that grandma managed to rebuild and renovate with her hard earned cash.

The living room/TV room

Very nice playroom

Loved the Dining room/kitchen combo

Violet was extremely pleased with her new room. No more sharing for her, which will be fun. Although she did say she felt a little lonely at first.

Tristan's brand new room. Very nice and spacious. At least he doesn't have Cleo scratching on her post and keeping him awake at nights now.

Cleo's been relocated to my parent's room now. Really impressed with the scarlet colour. Very romantic I must say.

Although I am a little reserved about their ensuite bathroom. Pink and groovy, straight out of a bad seventies movie.

I much prefer the main blue bathroom. It's more soothing to the eye.

I think it's a bad idea having all the babies in one room though. When one sets off, they're going to set off all the rest too. But... that's mom and dad for you.

Well, that's it for now. Thought I'd share these pics with you as soon as possible.

Just busy with the second half of my Freshman year and Dorian (of course).
He's been very secretive. Wonder if he's got anything planned as such.

Oh and on my To Do List is an opportunity to become a Good Witch too.

So, many apologies for not keeping in touch as regularly as I promised. Just too much going on at present.

See you all soon
Helen
