Ambrose's Diaries - Blog Entry #14 The Junior Years - Part one

They say college is a lifetime experience.
And they're not kidding there.

I sailed through my Sophomore year rather bumpily this time, as, apart from the academic side, it's been a real rollercoaster ride for me.

What with my hobby deciding to turn into a real monster for me.
Angry swarms of bees, poison ivy

I even had ants crawling all over me.
I'm embarrassed to say that I wasn't getting any fun out of my ant farm (and I got even less afterwards), so I decided to 'shake' things up a bit. And a few escaped, making me itch....
... a lot!!!

*shudders*

What else can my future hold for me, I wonder?

Well, as I said earlier, my Sophomore year was a riot.

The only two consistents in my college life now, are my studies.....
.... and Virginia.

I had the opportunity to change my aspiration this term, but thought against it. After all, I'm quite happy in my own skin here.

It was then that I decided to go 'one step further' with Virginia.

Oh please, give me some credit here, don't be so dirty minded you lot!!!!

Oh okay, yes, I was thinking of that too.

No, actually, our relationship is cementing itself really well, so I decided to propose to her

(author's notes here: forgot I had the events camera switched on and didn't get any 'proper' pics, so I had to improvise slightly)

Nervously, I went down on one knee and popped the question.
Holding my breath, (ever so slightly here), I waited.

And.....

..... she said YES

WAHOO!!!!!

Oh crap.

Now what? Have I done the right thing here or what?

Oh boy.

Oh well.

Well, we kinda sealed the deal afterwards with a good old fashioned 'make out' on that tatty old settee.

Boy, was that fun!!!

Things were going along smoothly. Virginia's grades were improving, (but I'm guessing she's using a lot of influence along the lines here, just to get up to scratch). She managed to convince the evil cow mascot to write one of her term papers. But how he managed to hit those keys with those hooves of his is beyond me.

The weather turned a little nasty throughout the rest of the semester, with thunderstorms aplenty. Which rolled me a want to be struck by lightning no less. (I know, I'm insane)

So, I decided to go play in a puddle as apparently that's a sure fire way to get struck (or so I was informed).

However, things didn't go quite as planned. Instead, one of my fears was realised instead, as a bolt of lightning struck the cactus tree, setting it on fire.

So, once again, here I was ~ alone this time ~ hopping up and down and yelping like a little girl.

Oh boy, I really need to get a grip on my masculine side for once.
Fortunately, the heavy rain put out the flames.

After that, all the excitement sort of calmed down.

That's when I decided to do a little 'research' of my own.

It's broad daylight out here.

The best time to get a sighting for aliens is through the night....

..... right?

WRONG

Holy crap!!!

Next thing I know, I'm teleported into a spaceship and whisked away to goodness knows where for some weird experimentations.

All through this time, my poor needs fluctuated rapidly, I didn't know whether I was coming or going.

All I could think of is.....

I'm gonna miss my final exam here!!! (actually, there was something else too, but I'll explain that a bit later on)

Well, finally, after goodness knows how long (time is of no concept when you're in space, apparently), I came back to earth with a nasty bump.

It's no fun being unceremoniously thrown out of a hovering spaceship at about 50 feet in the air.

Terra firma never felt so hard and lumpy, yet so welcoming too.

Virginia was there to greet me, along with the cook and Tiffany, who was extremely fretful and worried, judging by the look on her face. (well, actually, Lila was there, but she didn't hang around too long as she had to go to class).

It was the sight of Virginia, waiting for me that did it though.

I instantly went to her and kissed her gently.

In those few hours away, I realised my fears were unfounded and that she was the one I wanted to spend eternity with.

But.

Here's the weirdest thing.

Before my abduction, Tiffany didn't give me the time of day.

Afterwards, she strolled up to me and told me how much she admired my bravery and calm thinking, throughout my ordeal.

Obviously I'm flattered, but....

Virginia is still within earshot.

Oh dear.

Oh well.

At least I have the memory of being abducted now. That's going to sit with me for the rest of my life now.

One saving grace though.
At least I'm not pregnant.
I'll leave that one up to Virginia.

Here's to my Senior year and looking forward to my graduation.

Signing out for now
