Helen

**Warning, picture heavy chapter**

Helen is such a wonderful little baby. Every time Ginny and I check in on her, she's always curling her cute little toes and smiling up at us.

She is so precious.

She's hard work too, as she really dislikes being sat in her dirty diaper for too long. And boy, has she got a good set of lungs on her.

She's certainly got us on our toes, that's for sure.
Hourly feeds.

Changing diapers.

You name it, and we've taken turns with it.

She especially loves her baths. The way she wriggles about and giggles non stop, when I splash water on her.

One good thing though, when she sleeps, she really sleeps, often not waking up for ages.
Thank goodness for that recliner we had installed in the nursery.
That was a good investment indeed.

I've settled into fatherhood really well. However, Ginny's finding it a little difficult, as she's always rolling fears of changing a dirty diaper.

And trust me, Helen goes through loads of those.
Also, I think Ginny was a little too rough with Helen, as she spit up all over her. Much to Ginny's dismay.

It hasn't harmed Helen at all, but I guess Ginny's learned a valuable lesson about jiggling our daughter about, so soon after feeding.

She's sticking to blowing raspberries on Helen's tummy from now on.

In Ginny's spare time, (when Helen's asleep), she's been trying her hand at writing a novel.

With her love of Sports, she found it easy to write a full history of the Sims Olympic games (topical at present).

Fingers crossed for that one Ginny. I hope it sells well.

But, as we all know. Time marches on, and they don't stay like that forever.
And soon, it was Helen's birthday.

I was exhausted from another hard day at work, (and managing to get a promotion back to Counter Intelligence at the same time), that I missed her growing up.

Ginny, however, was there to help Helen blow out the candles.

With a quick cascade of confetti and a spin...

..... lo and behold....

Helen.

Isn't she just adorable?

I can see that she's managed to inherit her dad's nose (the poor dear), but she's just so gorgeous and cute.

We have established that Helen is a child prodigy. As she mastered the art of potty training in one session alone (thanks to the smart milk, the thinking cap and a very full bladder)

She was exhausted soon after that though and desperately needed her sleep.

So, I put her to bed, and Ginny popped in later to tuck her in.

Then we decided to spend some 'quality' time together.

Yep, that's right, we're trying for another one, to keep Helen company.

I'm not sure if it's worked or not, but Ginny's showing all the signs anyway.
And that toilet has suddenly become her 'best friend'.

Did I tell you that Helen had a good set of lungs on her?

She's an impatient, wee little devil, that's for sure.

She'd barely opened those sleepy little eyes of her, before she was screaming the place down.
Oh my, thank goodness Ginny was there to get her out of her crib.

I'd potty trained Helen, so it was Ginny's turn to teach her how to walk.

She had a little difficulty at first, her mind wandering elsewhere (as toddlers do, they're so curious at that age), but she managed. And now she's up and running all over the place.

Her favourite target is the toddler table. She spends ages drawing and playing with the building blocks.

But it's sleep time that is the most precious to us.

When she stretches out in that crib, with her eyes closed in deepest slumber.

She also loves her snuggles from her mommy and daddy too.

I apologise for gushing like this, but Helen has captured my heart, as well as Ginny's and she's just the most adorable little daughter we have.

In fact, I have a want to buy her a kitten, so she can play with it.
