Violet's Birthday (or Coping Sans Parents)

So, last update we saw Helen newly transitioned into a teen, Susan transition from toddler to child and her sister Violet's birthday pending.

And Ambrose going into a full scale meltdown about his own age. So Ginny decided to whisk him away for a nice bit of R'n'R, leaving poor Helen to shoulder the responsibility of helping kid sister Violet through her transition, keeping a close eye on Rina to make sure she doesn't feel left out, looking after the house and keeping it clean .... and going to school.

So it's no wonder she instantly rolled a wish to PARTY!!!!!

But, her responsibilities came first.

And so did her priority to help Violet through her transition.

Without further ado, she helped blow the candles out and popped Violet on the floor to await the sparkles.

And yep, another one in dire need of a mini makeover.

Because the game thought I'd (whoops ... I meant Ginny and Brosie) done a good job of parental skills (and tearing my hair out in clumps at the same time), I was allowed to choose the next set of traits per transition.

Helen got Genius
Susan and Violet, I forget, but next time I load the game I'll find out (serves me right for not taking notes, whoops my bad)

Everyone stuffed themselves silly - even Rina who took the advantage of sleeping soundly on Brosie and Ginny's bed whilst they're away.

On a footnote:
This rather cute looking paparazzi was caught hanging around during Helen's birthday transition, pulling faces and complaining about the smell.

Um, he was standing right next to the RECYCLE bin.
What did he expect?

Seriously?????

Oh, and at the same time as Violet's transition, Rags decided to transition also.

It was following her around a LOT, so I should have known something was amiss.

So this should be interesting indeedy

Birthday!!!! Or Should I Say Birthday(s) Plural

Yep, you read correctly. We have not one birthday celebration coming up.... but THREE!!!
Helen, Violet and Susan. Their birthdays all fall on the same day.

** Warning Picture Heavy Update ***

With their limited budget however, Brosie and Ginny decided NOT to throw a triple party this time, but have a small family get together. Luckily for them, it was Sunday and they didn't have to go to work until the next day.

So, Helen was first, since Violet and Susan were having a staring match in the nursery.

Wonder who won that one????

Stepping up to the cake, she paused, making her wish, whilst her mum and dad looked on, still in their PJ's.

To say she was excited and thrilled at becoming a teenager, was an understatement to be honest.

Anyways, with a swoosh of sparklies, out came....

... a VERY serious looking Helen.

Ginny grabbed some cake, and the two of them decided to have a 'girl to girl' talk.
What? So soon? she's just turned teen for heaven's sake!!!

Sims huh???

Anyways, next was Susan.
Held aloft by Ginny, who also helped her to blow out the candles, Susan went quietly into her transition.

And...

OMG, what happened to all that lovely curly hair????

Methinks a couple of makeovers are in the pipeline.

So there's just Violet left.

And what do you know? After getting all excited about his girls transitioning,

Brosie suddenly has a pang of conscience....

'I'm getting to old for this,'

Ginny, acutely aware of his sour mood then decides to whisk him away for a few days.

Say WHAT?!?!?!?!

Violet hasn't had a birthday yet and you're leaving now???

Ginny: 'Make sure you eat your greens, Helen, did you hear me? Make sure Susan eats her greens, got that? Susan? You heard what I said right????'

Susan: 'Yes mum.'
Helen: 'Yes mum.'

Brosie: 'See ya in a few days kids!!!'
Ginny: Wait for me!!!

And so they left Helen in charge of the house, Rina, and getting Violet through her transition.

 Helen: 'Now what?'

An Insight into Family Life at the Graystone Household

Did you think I'd forgotten all about my favourite family? Um, the answer to that one is a resounding yes. Really sorry about that. With Showtime being a major attention puller, Brosie and family DID take a major back seat until the novelty had worn off with my 'new toy'.

Anyways, nuff waffling, it's about time to give you an update on how they're doing.
Since I was too lazy to add in the new lots/venues from Showtime, then I highly doubt that any of Brosie and Ginny's kids will be pursuing any of the touring professions - Magicians/Singers/Acrobats.

Yet.

Yep, there's still time.

Going back on track .... it seems Helen is Rina's favourite 'play toy'. For as soon as Helen goes off to do something else, Rina's social needs drop dramatically. They fill up rather quickly whenever Helen gives her more attention. Which is rather cute.

She follows Helen all over the place. Even going to the point of sleeping/snoozing on the bottom bunk, whilst Helen tries her hand at painting.

Helen, in the meantime, is a good little Sim. Brushing her teeth and keeping her personal hygiene up to scratch.

Susan continues to play quietly with her IF doll Rags, forming a strong bond with the weird looking toy.

Violet prefers to sleep.
A lot.

Dolls don't really interest her. In fact, I've yet to find out what DOES interest her.

So it's going to be interesting, seeing how these little toddlers fare when they grow up.
And in the adult corner, we've got Brosie and Ginny catching up on some much needed sleep. Brosie dreaming of .... teddy bears???? Okayyyy.

And Ginny dreaming of Rina.

And what's this?

A birthday cake?????

Stay tuned to see whose birthday it is!!!!
