Everyone to School, Finally

Not the schedule/promised update, since there'd been a lot more activity prior to Brosie and Ginny's return. But, that's the haphazard lifestyle these Sims seem to be living. You never know what's going to happen next.

Monday Evening

After an exhausting day, when Rina FINALLY allows Violet to give her a brush, earning her a prestigious place in Rina's heart. (yep, all's forgiven.... for now).

For some really weird reason, Susan wants to check on the Baking Report....
... the kid cannot cook, unlike her twin. She notices that vanilla muffins are making a comeback and quickly takes note for future reference.

And Helen notices the bills are piling up, so she dips into her savings to pay for them and keep the Repo Man from the door....

.... they all go to bed.... VERY early!!!!

Tuesday Morning

Bright and early, Helen organises breakfast for everyone - cake slice .... again, but it appears that Violet's got a problem getting out of her bed.

Rags, determined to be as close as it can to Susan, decided to park it's butt right at the bottom of the ladder, preventing Violet from climbing down.

"Suemoo!!"
"Uh?"
"Will you move that doll of yours or I swear, I'll fling it outside in the trash!"

Quick as a flash, Susan was awake and at the same time, Rags 'came alive' and moved out of the way.

"There now Rags, she won't do that to you, I promise I'll keep you safe."
"You're nuts, you know that."
"No I'm not. Rags thinks you're mean."
"Bite me."

The school bus honked its horn and Helen quickly ushered everyone out, making doubly sure that Violet was NOT skipping school this time.

The twins got on the bus and sat down.

"Hey, psst, Sue."
"What?"
"Who's that?"
"The bus driver."
"Don't like her, she's creepy."
"Shh, don't like her either, but she's the one taking us to school and I don't fancy walking there any time soon."

Helen quickly joined them after making sure Rina had food and the house was locked up securely then settled down, across the way, a frown on her face.

She had a lot on her mind.

Firstly, she was wondering when her mum and dad were finally coming home.

Secondly, she was too tired to do her homework yesterday, or even help Susan with hers, so she needed to work on it during lunchbreak.

Thirdly, she'd had an invite to the school's mid term Prom dance, and was wondering what on earth she was going to wear. Something like this needed her mummy there to help her to choose.

Fourthly, during Career Week,  the school had given all students of Helen's age a challenge to find themselves a part time job. Since she was taking Art Class after school, she needed to figure out one job that wouldn't clash with that particular after school class. Another thing to add to her 'to do' list.

Whilst everyone was at school, Rina had the chance to wander freely around the house. She soon got bored after barking at the tv for about an hour. She'd stepped on the remote control by mistake and switched it on by accident.

Feeling lonely, she then headed for Helen's room and laid on her bed, missing Helen like crazy.
Wow, talk about loyalty there.....

Personalities are Shining Through

In a change to the proposed update, I shall give you a little insight into the Graystone girls, and how their personalities are shining through now.

Firstly there's Helen, the oldest. She's desperate to succeed and get ahead in life. So she's enrolled herself in an Art Class after school.

As a gift from her parents (before they went away for a few days), they gave her a tablet to work on - Genius trait in full swing here. So most days she'll be found doing her homework on it, whilst her kid sisters spend their time eating, playing and generally enjoying life.

Susan takes after her dad for being neat - Neat trait in full swing here also. They've nicknamed her Miss Tidy Pants, since she spends a lot of time fussing around and cleaning up.

It's even gone so far as she's even influenced her imaginary friend Rags, into making the bed whilst she's asleep. Although that didn't quite go as expected, since Rags half heartedly made one side of the bed and left the other side unmade.

Figures.

She even spends time with Rags.

"You look funny with that thing sticking out of your head."
"You look funny without it!"

Oh the imagination  of kids huh???

Violet. Well, she hasn't changed much. Still sleeps a lot and bums around the place - more on that in the next update - although she DOES seem to have a flair for cooking and is so much better than her other sisters. In fact, she's a little bit of an entrepreneur. If only her Hot Headedness trait didn't get in the way.

She also likes to play around with the mirror a lot!!!

She and Rina finally came to an impasse - once again, more on that in the next update - as she decided to snooze out in the garden and keep a watchful eye on Violet.

Speaking of Rina. I suspect she knows that Rags is around. As she'll stop dead and glance his/her way briefly, before going off and doing her thing.

In the next update (I promise), Violet gets into trouble

Violet's Birthday (or Coping Sans Parents)

So, last update we saw Helen newly transitioned into a teen, Susan transition from toddler to child and her sister Violet's birthday pending.

And Ambrose going into a full scale meltdown about his own age. So Ginny decided to whisk him away for a nice bit of R'n'R, leaving poor Helen to shoulder the responsibility of helping kid sister Violet through her transition, keeping a close eye on Rina to make sure she doesn't feel left out, looking after the house and keeping it clean .... and going to school.

So it's no wonder she instantly rolled a wish to PARTY!!!!!

But, her responsibilities came first.

And so did her priority to help Violet through her transition.

Without further ado, she helped blow the candles out and popped Violet on the floor to await the sparkles.

And yep, another one in dire need of a mini makeover.

Because the game thought I'd (whoops ... I meant Ginny and Brosie) done a good job of parental skills (and tearing my hair out in clumps at the same time), I was allowed to choose the next set of traits per transition.

Helen got Genius
Susan and Violet, I forget, but next time I load the game I'll find out (serves me right for not taking notes, whoops my bad)

Everyone stuffed themselves silly - even Rina who took the advantage of sleeping soundly on Brosie and Ginny's bed whilst they're away.

On a footnote:
This rather cute looking paparazzi was caught hanging around during Helen's birthday transition, pulling faces and complaining about the smell.

Um, he was standing right next to the RECYCLE bin.
What did he expect?

Seriously?????

Oh, and at the same time as Violet's transition, Rags decided to transition also.

It was following her around a LOT, so I should have known something was amiss.

So this should be interesting indeedy

An Insight into Family Life at the Graystone Household

Did you think I'd forgotten all about my favourite family? Um, the answer to that one is a resounding yes. Really sorry about that. With Showtime being a major attention puller, Brosie and family DID take a major back seat until the novelty had worn off with my 'new toy'.

Anyways, nuff waffling, it's about time to give you an update on how they're doing.
Since I was too lazy to add in the new lots/venues from Showtime, then I highly doubt that any of Brosie and Ginny's kids will be pursuing any of the touring professions - Magicians/Singers/Acrobats.

Yet.

Yep, there's still time.

Going back on track .... it seems Helen is Rina's favourite 'play toy'. For as soon as Helen goes off to do something else, Rina's social needs drop dramatically. They fill up rather quickly whenever Helen gives her more attention. Which is rather cute.

She follows Helen all over the place. Even going to the point of sleeping/snoozing on the bottom bunk, whilst Helen tries her hand at painting.

Helen, in the meantime, is a good little Sim. Brushing her teeth and keeping her personal hygiene up to scratch.

Susan continues to play quietly with her IF doll Rags, forming a strong bond with the weird looking toy.

Violet prefers to sleep.
A lot.

Dolls don't really interest her. In fact, I've yet to find out what DOES interest her.

So it's going to be interesting, seeing how these little toddlers fare when they grow up.
And in the adult corner, we've got Brosie and Ginny catching up on some much needed sleep. Brosie dreaming of .... teddy bears???? Okayyyy.

And Ginny dreaming of Rina.

And what's this?

A birthday cake?????

Stay tuned to see whose birthday it is!!!!

Cuteness Overload

It's been a while since I promised pics of the twins, and their personal data, so here we go.

Firstly, we have Susan.

She's a sweet little Pisces who likes the colour White, adores Cheesesteaks - although she's never technically had those yet, since her mother is still on the cold food preparation scale of cooking. And she favours Indie music.

Her traits are Genius (like her dad) and Artistic.

And she's earned a strange looking doll from her great great Auntie Francine (poor dotty old lady, thinks she's EVERYONE'S Auntie)

The doll is called Rags and Susan loves it with all her heart.
Sometimes she can be seen singing to it when she thinks nobody's looking!!!

Violet, on the other hand, is the polar opposite of her twin.

She's a raucous Aries, likes Spiceberry, and would LOVE to try some exotic foods like Dim Sums.
Her favourite music is Kids.

This is going to be an interesting household, with the radio changing channels every five minutes!!!

She would have had her own personal doll. However, in a rather vicious temper tantrum, she ripped it to shreds and threw the pieces out of her crib.

Yep, she's a bad tempered little bugger. It's reflected in her traits. Brave and Excitable. That teddy bear really ought to be scared!!!

Both toddlers love their mummy and daddy though, and are always vying for their attention.....
constantly. (and I thought the Schlick twins were trouble!!!!)

Next update:

Transition!!!

Here's what Ambrose managed to video. All I can say is..... awww cuuute!!!
Apologies for the lack of sound. Didn't activate the volume control.
