Welcome to our newest addition to the family

The days when I'm not working, and the long lonely nights, are getting to me. So I decided to do something about it.

Yes, it's great, having neighbours popping in and out. I don't mind being the genial hostess. But, without Dorian to keep me company, it kinda gets pretty lonely.

I know, I know, I can ask him to stay the night. But I really don't want to spoil his chances at graduation with full honours. Goodness knows, he's waited what appears to be a lifetime to get this far.

Speaking of which, he is now in his Senior year and doing pretty well. The Frat house is still pretty popular and he was telling me of a new guy called George, who called him out of the blue and started chatting amiably. I think Dorian suspects, he wants to be initiated into the Frat house.

Which is fine by Dorian, as it'll push up it's popularity that extra notch.

He told me that this George is cute as a button, but not to worry, as he's completely gay. Only has eyes for guys.

Hmmm. I've a fair idea which guy 'may' be perfect for George.
Just sayin'

Dorian also told me not to play 'matchmaker'. If it happens, it happens. He's still got to qualify first to gain access. That may take a while.

Anyway, back on topic.

I decided to go ahead and spend a little money. And adopt a cat. I was originally going to go for a kitten, but I saw Daisy and literally fell in love with her.

The kind policeman arrived and brought her to me. It was definitely love at first sight.

Already, she's the 'darling' of the apartment complex, getting attention from everybody there.

She is also spoiled rotten too. As I really don't have the heart to tell her off all the time. She's just a welcome addition to the family.

Already, she's been caught sitting on the counter tops.

Sitting on the settee (not that I'm bothered really)

And whilst I've had my back turned, she's been pinching the food off the plate.

I know I should train her, but meh, she's my cat and I'll let her do what she wants (within reason).

I tell you what, she's very observant and watches everyone as they pass in and out of my apartment.

But just look at her.
Isn't she absolutely gorgeous?

On another note, I've just had word about Tristan and Violet.
Because I was busy working, I missed out on their birthdays and they've now transitioned into teens.

Tristan is the absolute spitting image of Dad.

And Violet looks a lot like me.

Dad tells me they're both working hard to gain scholarships to fund them through college. I wish them all the luck in the world and have faith in them.

There are the toddlers to grow up yet. I'll try to be there for them but this new job of mine is particularly gruelling indeed, with long hours etc.

That's all the news I have today
