So far, they'd only managed to build the foundations and the outer wall.
Following the schedule to the letter, they managed to get the rest all done.....
.... or so they thought....
However, this wasn't without it's difficulties.
They tried to keep dust to a minimum because of the twins, however, they hadn't reckoned on the roof needing replacing. The existing roof just wasn't big enough, nor strong enough to support the much larger square structure. So they had to take it all down and rebuild a new one.
Although Ginny and Brosie weren't happy with the 'plainness' of the roof, they both agreed that they couldn't stretch the budget any more. And that hopefully, they'll manage to put some money aside to add some 'finishing touches'
Inside, they'd hoped for separate nurseries for Violet, Susan and Helen. But that also didn't work out quite so well. Besides, Helen was growing up fast, so she'd need her own space eventually.
Instead, the twins shared the nursery, whilst Helen got one room - unfortunately the budget had been blown on the new roof, so she had to make do with the furnishings and decor from the consignment store. Mind you, she couldn't complain. They'd tried their hardest to decorate it in her favourite colour of Spiceberry.
The bathroom had been moved back, but still between the two new rooms.
And the other room - for now - was a computer/study room.
