Violet Skips School - There's a Perfectly Good Reason

Well, Sunday evening passed into Monday morning, and still no sign of mum and dad. Not even a phone call home to let the kids know they were fine - no plane crashes/sudden infestations of bees and bugs (we all know Brosie's past experiences with those critturs), a plague of Zombies (stay tuned for more about those Supernatural Beasties soon enough - arrival September 2012)

Nope, nothing.

So, without further ado, Helen gathered together her younger siblings and tried to organise breakfast along with a packed lunch and get them on the school bus. Susan was fine about it. In fact she was uber excited!! The prospects of learning and stuff!!! What more could a Genius Sim ask for????

And then came Violet. Still in her PJ's. When asked why she wasn't ready, she smirked.

"Not going." was her reply.
"Why?" Helen asked, obviously getting ticked off with her kid sister's sudden attitude.
"Because....." Violet drawled out, "since I was born AFTER midnight, I don't need to go to school for another 24 hours. You can check if you want, it's all there online."

So Helen did and found out that Violet was right. The paperwork told her that Violet didn't need to go to school until the next day!!

That posed yet another problem. Since their parents were away, and both Susan and Helen were out at school. That meant that Violet would be home alone. And it wouldn't look right to leave Rina in charge of Violet, since she wouldn't be able to use the phone in case of emergencies.

So she whipped out her phone and called up the babysitter, much to Violet's annoyance, and they told Helen that one would be on their way pretty soon.

The school bus honked it's horn impatiently, and Helen didn't want to miss school to wait for the babysitter. So she gave Rina strict instructions to keep a close watch on Violet until the babysitter arrived.

And boy did she?

She glared daggers at Violet, obviously ticked off at the fact that - in her eyes - Violet was 'skipping school'.
When Violet tried to make a fuss of her, she backed away, growling.

It took the offer of a treat to finally win Rina over.
And by then a dark car pulled up outside the house, heralding the arrival of the babysitter.

And that's when Violet REALLY had some fun!!!
All will be explained in the next update: Violet and the Babysitter!!
