Honeymoon at Champs Le Sims - Part Eight, A Wild Goose Chase

It appeared that she'd been singled out to complete a 'task' for some mysterious Sim, who wanted to remain anonymous. She protested that she and her husband were on their honeymoon, but he insisted that this wouldn't take that long to complete and they could continue their trip as normal.

He explained that a priceless object had been lost way up in the mountains and asked if she wouldn't mind looking for it. Alone. That left a dilemma for Ginny. She had to make up some elaborate lie about one of the tourists having dropped a valuable ring, and she had to look for it.
It wasn't exactly a lie, but she had to really stretch her imagination a lot.

"I shouldn't be long," she said, browsing the leaflets, "I've got to pick up a few things, and look, there's a lovely old bookstore nearby. Perhaps you'll be able to find something interesting there. But just in case, I've got my cell phone handy so we can chat."

Ambrose wasn't happy about this, but he didn't want to cause a scene and demand that she 'obey' him. After all, she'd gone through the trouble of giving him the vacation of his dreams. So he begrudgingly let her go.

They headed for the picturesque plaza, where the local shops were. Both of them went into a supply store, where Ginny purchased a tent and some dried food, just two of the things listed by this mysterious Sim.

The woman behind the checkout was too busy dreaming about falling in love, to notice the strained atmosphere between our newlyweds.

Ambrose could only watch helplessly, as Ginny hopped onto her scooter and sped off.

To occupy himself, he decided to meet and greet a couple of locals. Jules Fournier was a 'specialist' who was happy enough to chat to Ambrose, but told him he didn't have enough visa experience points to purchase anything he had to offer.

That left Gustave Delven, who was delighted that a fellow bookworm would be even remotely interested in anything he was selling.

In the meantime, Ginny arrived at the designated site. A pile of ruins no less, and began to make her way down into the tombs.

After tackling the rubble, and handling a few hidden door switches, time had flown past very quickly, as day became evening, then night.

Not wanting to drive back to Base Camp alone and in the dark, Ginny decided to pitch her tent.
And resolved to go straight home in the morning and screw the missing artifact. Her gut instinct told her that it was a wild goose chase. Besides, she missed Ambrose badly, and felt totally and utterly.... alone.

Back at Base Camp, Ambrose too, felt alone and bereft as he missed Ginny greatly. He was tempted to call her, but decided not to, he didn't want to upset her in any way by constantly checking up on her.

***please note***
I had a great little adventure all set up with Ginny. All was going great until the game just stopped .... completely. Losing all progress apart from these pics. I didn't want to waste them, so I decided to make this update instead.
