Violet Versus the Babysitter

The rather smart looking car pulls up and my first thoughts were SOCIAL WORKER!!! *blinks* but nope, that's far too early in game. Besides, Helen had already organised a babysitter to keep a close eye on her kid sister.

A timid knock on the door, feet shuffling, a soft cough.

And VOILA!!!!
Ohhhhh, he's a CUTIE!!!! (wonders about pairing him up with one of my Sims in the future)

His name is ....

... please don't laugh, the game picked this, not me .....

Elmer Timmons!!!

Oh that poor unfortunate kid. *coughdurnyouEAcough*

Anyways, he walks in and immediately goes straight for the leftover birthday cake that was sitting on the table out in the garden.

However, it seems that he found himself up against the Sculpture Gnome, who at that particular point in time, decided to park it's stony body, right smack dab in the centre of the garden table. Preventing Elmer from sitting down and enjoying that overly sugary treat!!

In the meantime, Violet was acting like a good little girl. Going for a bath, or rather a 'submarine adventure' and keeping out of the way of Elmer.

But don't be fooled.
She was plotting.
BIG TIME

After furtively glancing around to see where Elmer was, she sneaked up into the treehouse to plot some more.

Snickering to herself, she called down to Elmer and lay in wait, bucket of water hidden from view.

However, her plans were thwarted, since Helen arrived just in time from school and paid Elmer for his services before sending him back home.

Foiled again!!!!

Just a Quick Update

Sadly, because of a glitch in the mailbox, I cannot show you Helen's IF (imaginary friend & strange new toy).

I can however give you a quick up date on this strange little fella.

He was purchased at the consignment store by Brosie as a gift to Ginny. Just because he thought it was a cute little statue. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a little more than that.

It's a sculpture gnome that loves nothing more than moving around the house and gardens, posing as it goes. When he first arrived, he was placed on the counter top (as you do). Two days later, he parked his butt on the front lawn, just behind the bicycles.

Then, as I was taking pictures of Ginny's now well established garden, here he is again, striking a thoughtful pose right near the sprinklers!!!

Speaking of which, Ginny is doing exceptionally well with her garden, as you can see. She grabs the opportunity to go out there and tend to her fruit trees and vegetables as soon as Helen is fast asleep.

Yep yep, she's definitely getting the hang of parenthood here.
Just wondering how she'll manage once all the rest start following !!!!!
