Random Stuff ... Inside the Hospital

Well, whilst I was messing around, waiting for Ginny to give birth, I decided to poke around the 'rabbit hole' hospital and this is what I find.....

Behind the 'reception desk'

The 'ward' behind the front desk. (if you pan the camera around, you'll see that this pic is plastered everywhere to get a sense of proportion I suppose - and a little 'reality')

The view from the 'ward' out into the street.

The front entrance from the 'reception desk'

It can't be accessed in normal play as the whole building vanishes, leaving the foundations as the only clue that there's a building there. However, if you press the Tab button (which makes all controls vanish - click again to get them back), then you can move your camera through the hospital - and any other 'rabbit hole' community lot, to see what's inside.

Oh and yes, the little green plumbob, is actually a Sim.

The World Welcomes .....

It was a hard gruelling labour. Brosie, already in the doghouse for going against Ginny's wishes and getting an environmentally UNfriendly taxi to take her to the hospital, chose to stay quietly in the background, out of the way.

Finally, Ginny had the baby. And although they told her she may need to stay overnight, she was determined to get home as soon as possible. So, carrying her little bundle, she marched straight out of the hospital doors, followed meekly by Brosie ...

..... to the waiting taxi.

And the same taxi driver sitting there.

Virginia bit back some sarcastic retort as the taxi pulled away.

And what did Ginny have?

A little girl. That 'Old Wive's Tale' about eating watermelons, WAS true after all.

So, the world welcomes.... Helen.

Her traits are:
Friendly
Clumsy

Favourites are:
Food: Lobster Thermidor
Music: Indie
Colour: Spiceberry.

It's too early to see who she resembles the most, but as soon as she turns toddler, we'll soon find out. Although it does seem as though she's inherited her mother's blonde hair.

Ambrose Wins The First Argument

When we left this young couple last, Ginny was halfway through some really nasty labour pains and Brosie was doing what most men of his age would do.

He panicked.

Which didn't help the situation much. But, after a few minutes, Ginny mananged to compose herself and began to pack her stuff into a back pack.

"What are you doing?"

"Call Shirley Lin, tell her I'm on my way right now. I'll meet her at the hospital."

Shirley Lin was the doctor in charge of overseeing the delivery of Ginny's baby. She promised to be there at a moment's notice.

Ginny stepped out on the porch and headed towards the bicycles chained up at the front of the house.

"You haven't booked the taxi."

"Don't need to, I'm going on my bicycle."

"Excuse me?"

"I'm going on my bike. Is there a problem here?"

"Well, yeah. For one, you're in no state to go riding around on your bike. And secondly, you're putting yourself and the baby at risk."

"I'm NOT getting into one of those horrid taxis. No way! Do you know the size of the carbon footprint those things leave behind?"

"Look, we're not here to put your Eco Friendly trait to the test. Our priority here is to get you to the hospital as quickly and safely as is possible. Understand?"

"I'm perfectly fine. Really."

"You're getting a taxi, and that is final."

"But what if..."

"no buts.... taxi... NOW!"

Ginny knew she'd lost this argument, but it still didn't stop her grumbling and grousing, from the minute they walked out of the house, got into the taxi and headed en route to the County Care General Hospital.

Ginny was still angry at Ambrose's stubbornness that she marched straight past him, straight into the front lobby of the hospital.

"Honey?"

He was greeted with silence as the doors closed between them.

"I was just looking out for you and the baby, that's all!"

"Ah, she's ready then huh?"

Shirley Lin appeared through the bushes, fully kitted out in her hospital scrubs.

"Yep, guess so."

"Well, let's go then, we've a baby to deliver!"
